From partial discharge monitoring to asset protection and data-driven insights, we deliver hundreds of products on demand to meet the unique needs of our customers.

Today, we serve over 93 countries through 8 global offices, offering hardware and software solutions that help our customers “keep the lights on” across power generation, transmission, and distribution. 

Our History

Over 80 Years of Innovation in Power Grid Monitoring 

Qualitrol was founded in 1945 by George Ford in Fairport, New York, with a focus on manufacturing pressure relief devices for the electrical industry. From the beginning, our commitment to quality and reliability set the foundation for decades of innovation and growth.

In 1986, Qualitrol joined Danaher Corporation, gaining access to global resources and distribution channels that accelerated our expansion. Over the years, we strategically acquired companies to broaden our expertise and product offerings—transforming Qualitrol into a comprehensive provider of condition monitoring solutions for electrical assets across their entire lifecycle, from transformers and generators to motors and bushings.

Today, with a strong foundation in engineering excellence and customer satisfaction, Qualitrol continues to lead the industry in developing technologies that enable proactive maintenance, real-time diagnostics, and reliable power delivery worldwide.
