Qualitrol at Middle East Energy 2026 September 1st - 3rd in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Visit us at Middle East Energy 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre from September 1st through 3rd, 2026, at Booth Z1-F05. Qualitrol is proud to participate in the Middle East's definitive energy trade show, now in its 50th year, held under the patronage of the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure. This cornerstone event brings together 45,000+ energy professionals, 1,900+ exhibitors, and industry leaders from across the GCC, Africa, and South Asia to advance the business of energy in one of the world's fastest-growing power markets.

Middle East Energy serves as the premier platform for transmission and distribution innovation. As Middle Eastern countries accelerate grid modernization initiatives, expand renewable energy integration, and invest heavily in T&D infrastructure to meet surging demand, this event provides unparalleled access to the projects, partnerships, and technologies shaping the region's energy future. With the UAE targeting 44% clean energy by 2050 and neighboring countries pursuing similar transformation strategies, the focus on reliable, resilient grid infrastructure has never been more critical.

At Middle East Energy 2026, Qualitrol will showcase advanced monitoring technologies specifically designed to address the challenges facing Middle East utilities as they modernize transmission and distribution infrastructure. With 80 years of heritage supporting utilities in over 125 countries, we understand the unique demands of operating power infrastructure in challenging environments and rapidly evolving grid conditions.

Comprehensive Monitoring Solutions Powering Grid Reliability

Protecting critical transmission and distribution infrastructure requires an integrated approach to transformer and grid health. At Middle East Energy 2026, Qualitrol will showcase our complete monitoring ecosystem designed to detect, diagnose, and prevent failures before they impact grid reliability.

Early Fault Detection Through Advanced Diagnostics

At the foundation of transformer protection is early fault detection. Our PDMG-RH Gen3 partial discharge monitoring system for gas-insulated switchgear uses UHF sensors paired with OCU (Optical Converter Unit) signal conditioning technology to accurately identify insulation degradation patterns before they escalate. This IEC 61850-certified system continuously monitors GIS installations, with advanced arc detection and localization capabilities that pinpoint fault locations within specific gas compartments.

For power transformers, the QPDM partial discharge monitoring system delivers next-generation continuous online UHF monitoring, providing real-time fault detection and advanced analysis for transformers and small GIS installations across the network.

Complementing partial discharge monitoring, our dissolved gas analysis solutions provide critical insights into developing faults. The Serveron TM8 delivers laboratory-quality 8-gas analysis using gas chromatography for mission-critical transmission transformers, analyzing hydrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, methane, ethylene, ethane, and acetylene every four hours. For distribution transformer fleets, the Serveron TM1 brings breakthrough hydrogen monitoring at an accessible price point, enabling utilities to extend condition-based monitoring across entire networks through direct immersion sensor technology.

Precise Temperature Management and Asset Protection

Direct measurement eliminates guesswork in thermal management. Our Neoptix fiber optic monitoring system uses oil-permeable T2 probes embedded directly in transformer windings to measure hot spot temperatures with unmatched precision, enabling dynamic loading strategies and preventing thermal runaway conditions that accelerate insulation aging.

Beyond the transformer itself, comprehensive protection extends to supporting systems. The Smart Transformer Breather automatically removes moisture from incoming air using pressure sensors and pattern recognition algorithms to schedule desiccant regeneration during the transformer's exhale cycle. With self-regenerating silica gel, the system eliminates costly maintenance truck rolls while protecting oil quality and insulation systems.

Switchgear and System-Wide Intelligence

Modern substations demand comprehensive asset monitoring beyond transformers. The QBCM Circuit Breaker Condition Monitor provides real-time health monitoring for high voltage circuit breakers (69kV and above), tracking SF6 density and leak rates, coil current profiles, open and close timing, I²t values for contact wear estimation, and motor operations—enabling condition-based maintenance before catastrophic failure occurs.

For system-wide visibility, the IDM+ multifunction power system monitor consolidates six essential functions into a single platform: digital fault recording, dynamic disturbance recording, phasor measurement unit (PMU) compliant with C37.118 2014 specifications, traveling wave fault location, sequence of event recording, and IEC 61000-4-30 Class A power quality monitoring.

When faults occur on transmission lines, the TWS-FL traveling wave fault locator pinpoints exact locations to within ±60 meters (195 feet)—often to a single tower span—enabling maintenance teams to respond rapidly and restore service faster, eliminating the time and expense of extensive line patrols.

These integrated solutions provide comprehensive visibility across transmission and distribution assets, enabling predictive maintenance strategies, extending asset life, and ensuring reliable power delivery across growing grid infrastructure.
